Terms of service
Last updated 2026-09-14.
These terms are the agreement between you and the person who runs Rerun. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. They are short and written to be read.
Who runs Rerun
Rerun is made and run by Anders Martin Linge, an individual developer in Norway. There is no company behind it. Where these terms say "we" or "us", that is who they mean. You can reach us at aml.labs.support@gmail.com.
Using Rerun
- You need to be 13 or older.
- Your account is yours. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account, and if you think someone else has got into it, reset your password and tell us.
- Rerun is free. Following shows, marking episodes, notifications, lists, import and export cost nothing, and there are no ads.
- Rerun is still being built. Features will be added and changed.
What you may not do
- Break the law, or use Rerun to help anyone else break it.
- Harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or post hate, sexual content, or anything that exploits children.
- Post someone else's private information, or pretend to be someone you are not.
- Advertise, spam, or post links to scams or harmful software.
- Try to get into accounts or parts of the service that are not yours, test its security without permission, or overload it.
- Use bots, scripts or any other tool than the app and its web pages to use Rerun, or to copy information out of it in bulk.
Comments
Comments are for talking about an episode with other people who have seen it. These rules are built into Rerun, and the first two cannot be switched off by anyone, including us.
- You can only comment on an episode you have marked watched. The same goes for replies and reactions. Our server checks this every time, with no exceptions, because the people reading a comment trust that whoever wrote it has seen the episode.
- You need to confirm your email address first. Until you do, you can use everything else in Rerun, but you cannot post comments, replies or reactions.
- No spoilers beyond the episode. Rerun hides a thread from anyone who has not watched the episode, unless they choose to look, so the people reading your comment have seen that episode and may not have seen the next one. Keep later episodes out of it, and other shows people may not have seen. Do not mark an episode watched only so you can comment on it.
- Some comments are refused automatically: empty ones, ones longer than 2000 characters, ones that repeat the same thing to fill space, ones with more than 2 links or that are mostly a link, and ones containing slurs. Ordinary swearing is allowed.
- Nobody reads comments before they appear. If you see one that breaks these rules, report it. You can report a comment or a person, and block anyone. A block hides their comments from you and yours from them.
- We read reports, and remove comments that break these terms. If we remove yours, we will tell you why, and you can reply if you think we got it wrong.
- Your comments stay yours. By posting one, you let us store it and show it to other Rerun users for as long as it is up. You can delete your own comments at any time. A deleted comment shows as removed, so that replies to it still make sense.
Ending your account
- You can leave whenever you like. Delete your account in the app under Settings, or on the account deletion page. You then have 30 days to change your mind on the restore page, and after that everything is erased. The privacy policy says what is erased and when.
- We can close an account that breaks these terms. For something serious, such as threats or illegal content, straight away. Otherwise usually after removing what broke the rules and warning you first. We will tell you why by email, and you can reply if you think we got it wrong. A closed account is erased the same way as a deleted one, and if it has Premium, we will cancel the subscription so you are not charged again.
- If Rerun ever shuts down, we will say so in the app at least 30 days before, so you have time to export your history.
Rerun Premium
Premium is not available yet. This section says how it will work when it is, so that the terms exist before anyone can buy it.
- What it is. A subscription that removes ads from Rerun. Everything else, including tracking, notifications and your history, stays free for everyone.
- Paying. Premium is sold through Google Play, which takes the payment and holds your payment details under its own terms. We never see them. The price, including any tax, is shown in Google Play before you confirm.
- Renewing. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time in the Play Store, under your subscriptions. Premium then lasts until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
- Deleting your account does not cancel it. Google bills it, so cancel it in the Play Store as well, or it keeps renewing.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play, under Google Play's refund policy.
- Price changes. If the price goes up, Google Play tells you before the new price applies, and you can cancel before you pay it.
- Every device. Premium belongs to your Rerun account, so it applies wherever you sign in.
- Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Show information belongs to others
Show, season and episode information and artwork come from TheTVDB, and air times from TVmaze. We do not own any of it. The artwork belongs to the studios, networks and people who made it, and the information is kept up by the people who contribute to TheTVDB and TVmaze. Rerun is not run or endorsed by either of them.
That information can be incomplete or wrong. A correction belongs on TheTVDB, where it helps everyone who uses it. Do not copy the information out of Rerun; if you want it, get it from TheTVDB or TVmaze under their own terms.
No guarantees
Rerun is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, free of mistakes, or that air times and notifications will always be right. You can export everything at any time, and keeping your own copy is a good idea.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from using Rerun or from not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change matters to how you use Rerun, we will tell you before it applies, in the app or by email. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account.
Law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you live somewhere else, you keep the protections your own country's consumer law gives you, and you can bring a claim where you live.
